Compact, stylish and in five gorgeous colours, Intempo launches its new digital radio collection

The TRS combines classic retro styling with the latest dual band DAB digital/FM radio technology. Intempo's new portable is lightweight and slim line so it is ideal as a second home radio or for listening on the move. The TRS retails at £39.99 and is available in five classic colours; violet, claret, deep blue, black and silver. The silver TRS is exclusive to John Lewis and the deep blue is available only from Currys.digital and Dixons. Argos and www.amazon.co.uk stock the entire colour range.

Small yet sleek, the TRS weights in at just 40g and is a super slim 205mm x 105mm x 38mm. The TRS is both mains and battery operated and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The radio will automatically scan and tune plus there is the option to save up to 20 of your favourite radio stations.

Colour and design have always been at the heart of Intempo's products and for many customers how the radio looks is just as important as the technology itself, said Katie Richards, Marketing Manager at Intempo.

There is a growing trend for much smaller DAB portables and the TRS meets this demand. We have also moved away from the pastel colours which have dominated technology for the last couple of years and opted for a selection of deeper, richer colours which will appeal to both the male and female buyer.

According to GfK, the consumer electronics industry's research body, more than five million DAB digital radios have been sold, which equates to nearly 10 million listeners tuning in to DAB around the UK. 18 percent of all UK households now have a DAB set and the DRDB (Digital Radio Development Bureau) expect this to exceed 20 percent by the end of 2007.
