Intempo launches the first MP3 speaker-dock with loaded DAB radio

Powerful audio speakers produce Hi-Fi quality sound for both MP3 & DAB listening

Intempo today launched the industry's first iPod docking station and speaker system, with built-in dual band DAB digital and FM radio. The RDI retails at £129.99 from Amazon, Comet and John Lewis.

Intempo's DAB digital radio heritage has converged with its market leading speaker-docks to produce the powerful RDI; these hi-specced speakers provide quality audio sound, not only when listening to music stored on an iPod but, for the first time, when listening to DAB radio. The innovative high-end design is available in glossy piano black and has a 30watt output, including a 15watt subwoofer for a powerful bass response and the two tweeters provide crystal-clear treble.

The RDI is compatible with the iPod family and MP3 players and will play, sync and charge. The DAB-dock also has an alarm with sleep and snooze. All functionality, including the bass and treble, can be controlled either manually or with the 23-key remote control.

The RDI is high quality audio; it is the only model on the market at this price point with tweeters, bass and treble control, operated manually or via the remote. Said Intempo's Marketing Manager Katie Richards

With the RDI, Intempo is creating a great audio platform and has included DAB radio for added value. Consumers looking for more choice and an enhanced audio experience can listen to hi-fi quality music from their iPod as well as FM or digital radio, as opposed to buying a radio with an iPod dock. Richards concluded

The RDI will not charge the iPod Shuffle
